Jim is the author of this website, and for lack of a better phrase, a student and philosopher of the human condition. He has explored understanding of our human situation and how we can, separately and together, actualize our potential and reveal our truest human nature.
On this journey he has looked into traditions ranging from India to the kitchen table, teachers ancient and modern, and all sorts of practices. Gradually he realized that the door to the eternal heart is always open and that who we really are is always already established.
He attended college on a National Merit scholarship, with advanced placement in math, physics and philosophy, and earned a BA in philosophy from Princeton University. He received an MFA in film from Columbia University.
He draws from an eclectic career which has included being a book editor, copywriter, computer programmer, singer and musician, novelist, stock broker, professional trader and software designer.
Jim originated both the Delta Phenomenon and Adam Theory, used by tens of thousands of traders and investors worldwide, and most recently created Ocean Theory, an interesting look at the internal structure of financial markets.
In addition to occasional seminars on markets, jim has spent several decades investigating life enhancement and teaching about it when appropriate, including spirit (our consciousness), mind (our calling and how to find it), heart (our emotional and social life), and body (our physical health and vitality).
He is the author of the video Cooling The Mind, Warming The Heart, which is based on a talk that Jim gave in Silicon Valley. Jim has authored the books Nothing, Handbook For Humans, The Natural Way, Song of Existence and The State of the World, and the audio recordings Affecting Our Reality and Magical Negative.
In 2008 Jim's non-fiction book A Global Vision was published, a book which is about the vision and general principles that might be needed in the process of creating a unified humanity and a sustainable planet.
On October 17, 2009 Jim began The Financial Weather Report, a webinar for an hour each month where Jim looks at the world through the lens of the financial markets, assisted by Ocean Theory analysis.
Jim lives in northern California.
